Flat Seas, Bare Decks: Quiet Passage from Motril to Malaga - Naturally S03E17
Sailing Helios Naturally - Season 3

15m
We slip the lines in Motril and set off for Malaga on a day when the Mediterranean is completely flat and glassy. There’s almost no wind, so the sails stay furled and the engine does most of the work. It’s one of those quiet passages where not much happens — no drama, no lively sailing, just the gentle hum of the motor and the stillness of the water all around us.And that’s exactly why it’s good. These are the days that remind us why we love being out here: no rush, no pressure, just the simple pleasure of being on the water together, free and natural under the Spanish sun.The upside of all that motoring? By the time we arrive in Malaga, the hot water is ready. We finish the passage the best way we know how — long, free showers on the swim platform, washing off the day in the warm Mediterranean air. Sometimes the best passages are the ones where nothing much happens at all.
