The weather is beginning to turn, but the Mediterranean warmth still lingers. We tuck in behind a broad headland shaped by an ancient river delta, finding the perfect shelter from the swell so we can finally sleep comfortably.

After a day’s sail we seek protection on the other side of the headland, but when a severe weather warning rolls in, we dash into port—only to be trapped onboard for two days as the rain pours relentlessly. Even so, we make the most of the quiet moments: a naked shower on the swim platform when the clouds part, and a chance to bask in the sun whenever it peeks through.
